HCL Foundation uploaded SPARC India's success story

.  Jelly Fish Making Activity was organized on 29th December 2018 by Ms. Priyanka Singh and Miss Alka Verma, while Mrs. Anju Tiwari, Mrs. Archana, Mrs. Kiran Rastogi and Mrs. Shashi participated in the activity. The objective for this activity was to promote creativity and cooperation among students. Students were a lot interested in the activity; strands were made by paper strips while the body of Jelly fish was made by Disposable Bowls.

     
 
  Dr. Ruchi Srivastava (Consultant Rehabilitation Psychologist) visited Jyoti Kiran School during the last week of December 2018. She came on 26th, 27th and 28th December 2018. During these days she assessed Pratham, Pranjal, Gaurang, Ronit, Areeba, Tayyab, Ayush, Ansh, Adarsh and Aradhya. Parents and class teachers were present with the concerned students; she asked them about their medical history, any complications during birth or pregnancy, their kid behavior at their home and with their peers. Teachers shared about the classroom progress of the students, and what is their plan to proceed further, she shared her thoughts and input with both the parents and teachers. During her next visit in the month of January she will be assessing some more students. 
     
 
 

On 28th December 2018, some stationary material was distributed among Jyoti Kiran School students by Leena Seth. Mrs. Leena Seth visited the school occasionally, and did all kind of activities with the students like cake making etc. This year she decided to distribute some stationary material among students. All the students who were present that day, assembled in the Physiotherapy Hall, and they received beneficiaries from Mr.  Deepak. Mrs. Mridula Mehrotra, Ms Alka, Mrs Archana and Mrs. Rani and Ms. Anam Rakhshanda were present in the event. Around 32 students were present that day, who received the gifts. Students who weren’t present that day received their gifts on Saturday, 29th December 2018 by Dr. Amitabh Mehrotra, Mrs. Mridula Mehrotra and Mrs. Kiran Rastogi.

     
 
 

On 22nd December 2018, Saturday Jyoti Kiran School, SPARC-India celebrated Christmas Day with students and staff members. Mrs. Kiran Rastogi and Mrs. Anju Tiwari organized this celebration at school. The main aim of this celebration was to enhance participation and togetherness among all students, and to aware students about the festival.

     
 
 

Dot to Dot Puzzle Activity was organized at Jyoti Kiran School on 16th December’2018, SaturdayMs. Archana Verma, Ms. Alka Verma and Ms. Priyanka Singh organized this activity. The aim of this activity is to enhance creativity and develop reasoning ability among students. Connect the dots (also known as   dot to dot or join the dots) is a form of puzzle containing a sequence of numbered dots. When a line is drawn connecting the dots the outline of an object is revealed. The puzzles frequently contain simple line art to enhance the image created or to assist in rendering a complex section of the image. Connect the dots puzzles are generally created for children. The use of numbers can be replaced with letters or other symbols. It is a beautiful addictive puzzle game about connecting the dots.

Some students like Sanjana, Affan, Tauhid, Rajshekhar, Ritik, Pratham etc solved it very easily. Rest of the students solved the puzzle with the help of teachers and found it very interesting. Some of the students found it so interesting that they solved all the sheets and some of them even color the objects.

     
 
 

A Parents Support Group meeting was organized on 8th December 2018, Saturday. Around 32 parents participated in this meeting along with Ms. Anam Rakhshanda (Program Coordinator, JKS), Mrs. Kiran Rastogi (Head Computer Teacher-SPARC India), Mr. Santosh Tiwari (Physiotherapist-SPARC India), Ms. Shashi Srivastava (Volunteer-SPARC India) and Ms. Alka Verma (Volunteer-SPARC India). Following points were discussed in the meeting

Ø  Miscommunication/lack of communication with teachers.

Ø  Physiotherapy sessions of students and discussion on it.

Ø  Government policies and facilities provided for Persons with Disabilities.

Ø  Student’s academic progress, their behaviour, cleanliness etc.

Ø  Open discussion

35. VIDEO DOCUMENTATION UNDER HCL UDAY’S PROJECT

Vineet Singh and his team from HCL visited SPARC India Jyoti Kiran School, to make a documentary. They made videos of classes and students learning and doing activities in classrooms, receiving therapy etc. 
     
 
 

WORLD DISABILITY DAY

The Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh organized State Level Award Distribution and Honor Ceremony at Jupiter Hall, Indira Gandhi Auditorium, Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, on the occasion of World Disability Day i.e 3rd December 2018, Monday.

The Chief Guest for this event was Honorable Shri Ram Naik Ji, Governor of Uttar Pradesh and Shri. Om Prakash Rajbhar, Hon'ble Minister, Backward class welfare and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The Guests of Honor were Shri. Mahesh Kumar Gupta, I.A.S, Additional Chief Secretary, Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh; Dr. Balkar Singh, I.A.S, Director, Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh and Mr. Rajneesh Dubey (Principal Secretary, Medical & Health Department).

Jyoti Kiran School, SPARC-India, Sitapur Road, Lucknow also participated in it and presented a group dance on “Vo Radha Hai”. The students who participated in the group dance were Affan Siddiqui (Hearing Impaired), Kareem (Cerebral Palsy), Sanjana (Hearing Impaired), Laxmi, Kavya, Astha, Pari, Sona, Pranjal (Cerebral Palsy), Deepali (Cerebral Palsy), Neeraj (Cerebral Palsy) and Anant (Cerebral Palsy). They all enjoyed the program along with some other students from Jyoti Kiran School- Ansh, Gaurang, Shivan, Ayush, Divyansh, Pratham, Ronit and Mohit who went there as audience with teachers and support staff. At the end of the program all the participants were provided with lunch packs and were thanked for participating in the programmes and making this event successful.

     
 
 

On 17th November’18, Saturday Ms.Vibha Poonja, a teacher and around 13 students of G.D Goenka Public School, Shaheed Path, Lucknow, visited Jyoti Kiran School in order to explore the environment of such an inclusive school for children with disabilities and children who are facing with disabilities like cerebral palsy, mental retardation, autism etc.

They visited all the classes and interacted with all the teachers and students. The teachers explained them about the plans, activities and the students in detail. The physiotherapists and speech therapists explained about the therapeutic interventions which they follow on CwDs. Students encouraged CwDs and the students of G.D Goenka Public School interacted with all the students.

     
 
 

On 16th November 2018, Friday students of Jyoti Kiran School, SPARC India participated in Anand Utsav-Sports Mela organized by PYSSUM, Lucknow at K.D Singh Babu Stadium, Parivartan Chowk, Hazratganj, for differently abled school children.

The program aims to bring out and showcase the talent of Differently abled children through various sports competitions like- 50 metres run, 100 metres run, 50 metres walk, 100 metres walk, Bocce and Soft ball throw.

The Chief Guest at the program was Mr. Om Vagaria (Kedar Organization, Social Work, Assam) and the Guest of Honor was Mrs. Pushpa Vagaria (Wife of Mr. Om Vagaria) and Ms. Elizabeth (Daughter-in-law of Mr. Om Vagaria).

Harshit participated in 50 metres run; Sanjana and Deepanshu participated in 100 metres walk; Gaurang participated in 50 metres walk; Sanjana, Deepanshu, Ansh and Anant participated in Bocce; Pranjal and Anant participated in Soft ball throw. Among these participants Harshit won silver medal in 50 metres run; Gaurang won silver medal in 50metres walk; Deepanshu won silver medal in 100 metres walk; Sanjana, Deepanshu, Ansh and Anant won silver medal in Bocce.

Ms. Kiran Rastogi, Ms. Shashi Srivastava, Ms. Alka Verma and Ms. Satwiki Mishra along with support staff supported the students during the games.
     
 
  SPARC-India organized a picnic event for the students of Jyoti Kiran School on 14th November’2018, Wednesday at Janeshwar Mishra Park, Gomti Nagar on the occasion of Children’s Day. Around 50 children, 15 staff members and 10 support staff along with Dr. Amitabh Mehrotra (Founder, Secretary cum Director-SPARC-India) and Mrs. Mridula Mehrotra went for picnic. All the students were too excited and happy
     
 
  Diwali Pooja was organized at Jyoti Kiran School on 6th November’2018, Tuesday. All the staff members were assembled at one place in the hall. All the preparations for Pooja were done by support staff members. Dr. Amitabh Mehrotra (Founder, Secretary cum Director-SPARC-India) along with his family members gathered up for Diwali Pooja. At the end Dr. Amitabh Mehrotra wished everyone “Happy Diwali” also distributed sweets packs to each and every member as diwali gift.
     
 
 

On 5th November’2018, Monday Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Uttar Pradesh organized Diwali Exhibition at Wave Mall, Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar Lucknow, in which various organizations had put their stalls and displayed various decorative materials for the occasion of Diwali. SPARC-India was also one of the participants.  Ms. Anju Tiwari, Ms. Archana Verma and Ms. Satwiki Mishra along with two students Neeraj and Sanjana represented SPARC-India there. The stall comprised of decorative materials for home, wax candles, floating candles, lamps, variety of bandhanwaars, decorative rangolis, purses, envelopes, decorative idols of Lord Ganesh,  decorative diyas etc. Dr. Amitabh Mehrotra (Founder, Secretary cum Director-SPARC-India) also visited the exhibition. All the persons around there found it very beautiful and bought it for decorating their homes.

     
 
 

This activity was organized at Jyoti Kiran School on 3rd November’2018. Mrs. Archana Verma and Mrs. Kiran Rastogi organized this activity. This activity was organized as a Saturday activity. The students painted and decorated the diyas in different ways. This kind of activities enhances creativity and curiosity among students.

     
 
 

HCL IT City, Sultanpur Road, Lucknow organized Diwali Mela on 2nd November’2018, Friday within its campus. Various organizations had put their stalls and displayed various decorative materials for the occasion of Diwali. Mrs. Kiran Rastogi, Mrs. Rashmi Jaiswal and Mrs. Shashi Srivastava along with support staff represented SPARC-India there. The stall comprised of decorative materials for home, wax candles, floating candles, lamps, variety of bandhanwaars, decorative rangolis, purses, envelopes, decorative idols of Lord Ganesh,  decorative diyas etc.

     
 
 

On 27th October’2018, Jyoti Kiran School, SPARC India organized Thumb and Spray Painting as Saturday Activity for all the students. The main aim of the activity is to enhance their socialization, creativity and motor skills. Students painted the pictures with thumb or fingers and after that they taught how to use spray color. They enjoyed this activity a lot and painted the pictures with different colours and techniques.

     
 
 

Dussehra Celebration was organized on 16th October 2018. Teachers and support staff decorated the Raavan with the help of colorful papers, crackers etc. a day before celebration. The main aim of the activity is to enhance their awareness about the festival, socialization and skills. Mrs. Anju Tiwari (Special Educator) told students about the festival of Dussehra and shared the stories behind the celebration of this festival.

     
 
 

On 13th October 2018, PSG meeting was organized. The meeting was facilitated by Mrs. Kiran Rastogi (Head Computer Teacher- SPARC India), while Mrs. Archana Verma (Vocational Teacher-SPARC India), Mr. Santosh Tiwari (Physiotherapist-SPARC India), Mrs. Shashi Srivastava (Volunteer-SPARC India), Ms. Alka Verma (Volunteer-SPARC India) were present for support and additional facilitation.

 Following points were discussed in that meeting

Ø  Transportation issues and support of parents in dropping their children to school, showing gratitude and discussion with other parents.

Ø  Discussion related to the attendance and homework provided to the students.

Ø  Discussion on complaints by parents for delay in school departure time during any program at school randomly.

Ø  Open discussion, feedback and suggestions.

     
 
 

Yoga day was celebrated on 6th October 2018 as an in-house (Saturday) activity. Activity was facilitated by Miss Alka Verma (Volunteer SPARC India) and Mrs. Anju Tiwari (Special Educator SPARC India). Main aim of the activity was to aware students about the benefits of yoga, develop body awareness, learn how to use their bodies in a healthy way, manage stress through breathing, awareness of meditation and healthy movement, build concentration, and increase their confidence and positive self-image. Besides Yoga, they had instructed students to come in color green, so that students can develop the concept of colours.

     
 
  On 29th September’2018, Saturday Balgeet was organized as Saturday Activity in Jyoti Kiran School. Ms. Alka Verma along with all the teachers organized the activity. The main aim of this activity is to enhance socialization, communication & sense of participation among the students of school. All the students were gathered in hall and asked to recite the songs (Do chuhe the mote mote se, Lakdi ki kathi, kathi pe ghoda, Jungle jungle baat chali hai pata chala hai) after the teachers with rhythm and actions.
     
 
 

Dr. Amitabh Mehrotra (Founder, Secretary cum Director-SPARC-India) along with Shri Uma Shankar Ji (President, SPARC-India) and four parents (two fathers and two mothers) met His Excellency Shri Ram Naik Ji at Raj Bhawan on 28th September’2018, Friday with the following twin purposes:

1.      To submit the proposal of setting up of Resource Center on Disability Issues.

2.      Request for interim financial support for running of Jyoti Kiran School which was facing financial crisis for last six months.

3.      Governor Saheb gave patient listening and praised the hard effort being made by SPARC-India in the field of disability.

     
 
  On 22nd September’2018, Saturday Movie show- Hichki was organized as Saturday Activity in Jyoti Kiran School. Mrs. Kiran Rastogi and Mrs. Shashi Srivastava along with all the teachers organized the activity. All the students were gathered together in one hall and junglebook film was displayed on projector. The main aim of this activity is to enhance socialization, communication, cooperation & sense of participation among the students of school.
     
 
 

On 14th September, 2018, Friday Dr. Archana Kapoor (Professor, IT College) and Dr. Roma Joseph (Associate Professor, IT College) along with students of B.Ed Ist year visited Jyoti Kiran School to motivate and cherish the students through their programmes, skills. All the students of Jyoti Kiran School and IT College were gathered in the hall and they presented various programmes, games for students and gave them gifts whosoever won. Dr. Amitabh Mehrotra (Founder and Director, SPARC-India) thanked everyone from IT College who motivated everyone with so much positivity.

     
 
  On 8th September’2018, Saturday Birthday Celebration of Ms. Leena Seth was organized as in Jyoti Kiran School. Our esteemed donor Shalimar Corp Limited, Mrs. Leena Seth (Head) along with her son, Mr. Kunal Seth and Miss. Rhea Seth came to Jyoti Kiran School along with gifts and surprises for students. Everyone wished her ‘Happy Birthday” students sang birthday song when she cut the birthday cake and distributed it to everyone. Students also gave her birthday cards with blessings. Then she distributed gifts, coloring books, and snacks to each and every student and celebrated her birthday by blessing them. All the students seemed very happy and joyful. 
     
 
  Isabella Thoburn College, Lucknow had organized cultural event every year, this year they celebrated this occasion on 7th September’18, Friday. They invited Dr. Amitabh Mehrotra (Founder, Secretary cum Director-SPARC-India) for enlightening the students on the concept of Inclusive Education. The main focus was on “Education for Differently abled” in the programmes/projects. They also wish to develop an understanding on issues related to disability among their partners.  Dr. Amitabh Mehrotra gave his views on topic “Education for differently abled” Then   she requested Dr. (Mrs.) V Prakash who is the principal of Isabella Thoburn College. He asked the students to volunteer at the organizations working in the disability sector. She also introduced about Miss Rekha Mehrotra. She recognizes the strength of mother behind her son success journey. She introduced the journey of Dr. Amitabh Mehrotra. Then Mrs. Anju Tiwari, Special Educator, JKS introduces two success stories and our two students (Anshi Singh and Sonal Srivastava) also presented songs.  
     
 
 

On 1st September’2018, Saturday Fancy-dress Activity cum Janmashtmi celebration was organized as Saturday Activity in Jyoti Kiran School. Mrs. Kiran Rastogi and Mrs. Shashi Srivastava along with all the teachers were busy in organizing the activity. The main aim of this activity is to create awareness and enhance skills of students. All the children were so excited about the activity and few students have participated in the fancy-dress activity. Satakshi of Foundation Class and Adarsh of Block-A were dressed at Radha-Krishna, Pranjal was dressed as Chota Bhim and Hariom was dressed as Polythene-Don’t Use Me.

     
 
  On 25th August’2018, Saturday Rakhi-making and Rakshabandhan celebration was organized as Saturday Activity at Jyoti Kiran School, SPARC India by Mrs. Kiran Rastogi and Mrs. Archana Verma. All the materials for rakhi-making was collected at one place like thread, beads of different colors and sizes, artificial flowers fevicol etc. All the students were collected at one place and they were taught how to make various kinds of simple and beautiful handmade rakhis. Then teachers tied rakhi to all the girls and boys and celebrated rakshabandhan in a cultural way, shared sweets and enjoyed it a lot. Teachers told them the importance of rakshabandhan. Then they asked questions to the students related to it. They all participated in it very enthusiastically and were very happy and excited.
     
 
  Vishwa Rakshabandhan Mahotsav at Divyangjan Shashaktikaran Samaroh was organized at Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Nirala Nagar, Lucknow on 24th August’2018, Friday by Dr. Harmesh Singh Chauhan, National President, National Integration Mission and sponsored by various NGOs like Prayatn etc. The Chief Guest on this occasion was Honorable Mr. Vijay Agarwal, Former President Vidya Bharti, Uttar Pradesh and the Guest of Honor were Honorable Mr. Indresh Kumar, President-Member National Executive Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and many more. Students of Jyoti Kiran School, SPARC-India participated and performed solo dance- “Kehte hai hamko pyar se India wale” by Sanjana, group dance- “Suno gaur se duniya walon” and Areeba (Rani Laxmi Bai), Anjali (Fairy), Shivan & Gaurang (Negroes) participated in “fancy dress competition”. Everyone appreciated them and as an appreciation the participants along with the teachers were honored.
     
 
 

On 21st August’2018, Tuesday Mr. Vikash Mishra, Product Sales Manager, Assistant Vice President, Regional Branch Head, YES Bank along with his colleague Mr. Rahul Saxena visited Jyoti Kiran School, SPARC-India. The main aim of their visit was to observe the working and visit the Jyoti Kiran School, SPARC-India and to provide support and contribution. We have already applied for film-making program by this bank for support but we were not selected in the second round BSE registered, we were working for cause.

     
 
  On 18th August’2018, Saturday Ms. Kusum Gurunani, well-wisher along with Mr. Ram Gopal Gupta from Hamara Seva Nyas, Rajeshwari Devi Charitable Trust visited Jyoti Kiran School, SPARC-India. The main aim of their visit was to observe and visit the Jyoti Kiran School and to provide financial support and contribution. Ms. Kusum Gurunani has always been a well-wisher and supporter for SPARC-India.
     
 
  SPARC-India, Jyoti Kiran School celebrated 72nd Independence Day on 15th August 2018, Wednesday with great enthusiasm. Mr. Umair Usmani, Vice President of Aegis VPE was present there as the Chief Guest. The other important stakeholders who were present there were Shri Uma Shankar Singh, President of SPARC India; Dr. Arvind Nigam, Board Member of SPARC India and Mr. P.C Saxena, Ex-founder President of SPARC India.
     
 
 

P.S.G Meeting was organized in SPARC India on 11th August 2018 with the objectives that parents also play an essential role in the development of CwDs as these children spend half of their time at the home with family. So it is quite important to observe and analyse the changes in behavior. The most important requirement for CWSN is to learn life skills so that they can lead their life independently. Mrs. Anju Tiwari inaugurated the meeting by sharing the theme of the meeting. The main theme/topic of the meeting was to discuss

·         Behavioral aspects of CwDs at home and School.

·         Parents sensitive approach and supportive behave in development of CwDs emotionally, mentally and  physically.

·         Innovative suggestions/ Feedback from parents.

     
 
  On 1st August’2018, Wednesday Mr. Vineet, an employee of HCL Technologies Limited along with his two colleagues from the Noida branch, Ms. Namrata Sinha, from Education sector of HCL and Ms. Meha Tiwari visited Jyoti Kiran School, SPARC-India. As we have submitted the proposal for financial assistance so the main aim of their visit was to assess the program of Jyoti Kiran School, how it is running, all the heads and activities mentioned are going on or not.
     
 
  On 28th July’2018, Saturday Puppet Show was organized as Saturday Activity for students of at Jyoti Kiran School, SPARC India. Mrs. Shashi Srivastava and Mrs. Anju Tiwari organized the activity. The main aim of the activity was to aware students about the cleanliness & its benefits and other good thoughts with the help of story-telling through puppet show.
     
 
  On 24th July’18, Tuesday, Dr. Amitabh Mehrotra (Founder, Secretary cum Director-SPARC-India) was invited for one hour session on disability inclusion at around 10.30 AM. He presented his views on the topic “Understanding Disability and its Inclusion in Development Projects” through a power point presentation.  
     
 
  Tree Plantation and its awareness as Saturday Activity- On 21st July’18, Saturday Tree Plantation and its awareness was organized as Saturday Activity in Jyoti Kiran School. Mrs. Archana Verma and Ms. Satwiki Mishra organized the activity. The main aim of the activity was to aware the students about the importance of tree plantation and its valuable benefits.
     
 
 

On 7th July’18, Saturday Feedback of Summer Vacations from Children of Jyoti Kiran School was organized as Saturday Activity. Mrs. Kiran Rastogi and Mrs. Anju Tiwari organized the activity. The main aim of the activity was to enhance the memory and attention of children. This activity was organized to refresh the memories of the summer vacations which would have filled the students with joy & enthusiasm to give a new start to the session.

     
 
  Valedictory Function of Summer Camp 2018- SPARC-India celebrated Valedictory Function of Summer Camp 2018 on 9th June’18, Saturday from 6:30 pm at Rai Umanath Bali Auditorium, Kaisherbagh, Lucknow. The Chief Guest for this event was Honorable Shri Ram Naik Ji, Governor of Uttar Pradesh. The Guests of Honors were Mr. Suresh Kaul (President-Sarthak Manav Kushthashram), Mrs. Asha Kaul, Mr. Uma Shankar Singh (President-SPARC India), C.A Rajeev Agarwal (Treasurer-SPARC India), Justice S.C.Verma, Mr. Neeraj (Project Coordinator ,Uday Project-HCL), Mr. Rupesh (Project Coordinator ,Solar Energy-HCL), Mr. Umair Usmani (Vice President, Aegis Ltd.), Mr.Akshay Chaudhari (System Engineer-TCS), Ms. Supriya Mishra (Asst. Manager communications- Airtel), Mr. Manish (Innovations). Around 200 guests (Parents/guardians, siblings of Children with Disabilities/ Persons with Disabilities) turned up for the event. Dignitaries from government, ex-employees of SPARC India and corporate were also present at the event.
     
 
  · Inauguration of Summer Camp- On 9th May’18, Wednesday Inauguration of Summer Camp was organized at Jyoti Kiran School, SPARC India. The Guests of Honor at this occasion were Mr. Pallav Joshi (Executive H.R, T.C.S) and Ms. Kavya (Associate, T.C.S). Mr. Someshwar Dutt Bajpai (Program Manager, SPARC India) introduced the guests of honors and told them about the aim of organizing the summer camp and the activities included in it. He told that the summer camp is organized to enhance the socialization of students. He told that we are organizing a Valedictory Function of Summer Camp on 9th June’18, Saturday from 6:30 pm at Rai Umanath Bali Auditorium, Kaisherbagh, Lucknow.
     
 
  · Parents Support Group (P.S.G) Meeting with parents/guardians of students and Report-card distribution of Annual Examinations- On 7th May’18, Monday Parents Support Group Meeting & Report-card distribution of Annual Examinations was organized for discussion of achievements of students and issues of their parents from 11 am at Jyoti Kiran School (JKS), SPARC India. The topics which were discussed during the meeting were:- Ø Discussion related to progress reports of the students. Ø Discussion about the integration of meritorious students in other normal schools. Ø Information about the summer camp 2018 at JKS from 8th May’18 till 9th June’18. Ø Open discussion- Parents can discuss on any matter related to their students.
     
 
  Activities like envelope making and dance & music- On 24th April’2018 and 25th April’2018, Tuesday and Wednesday respectively various activities like envelope making and dance & music were organized at Jyoti Kiran School, SPARC India. ·         Parents Support Group (P.S.G) Meeting- On 14th April’18, Saturday Parents Support Group Meeting was organized for discussion of various behavioral problems of students and parents from 10:30 am at Jyoti Kiran School, SPARC India.

The topics which were discussed during the meeting were:-

Ø  Discussion related to behavior of the parents.

Ø  Discussion on institutional security.

Ø  Open discussion- Parents can discuss on any matter related to their students or school premises.

     
 
 

Seasons & its types as Saturday Activity- On 7th April’2018, Saturday Seasons & its types was organized as Saturday Activity at Jyoti Kiran School, SPARC India. Mrs. Anju Tiwari (Special Educator) and Mrs. Archana Verma (Vocational Teacher) organized this activity. They discussed the various seasons of India and its types in detail. The main aim of the activity is to aware them about the various seasons of India and its types.

     
 
 

Music Activity as Saturday Activity- On 31st March’2018, Saturday Music Activity was organized as Saturday Activity at Jyoti Kiran School, SPARC India. Mrs. Anju Tiwari and Mrs. Archana Verma organized this activity. They discussed the importance of music in day to day life. The main aim of the activity is to aware them about music therapy and its benefits.

     
 
  Ring the Bell Campaign 2018-2019 for Inclusion of Children with Special Needs / Children with Disabilities in Govt. Primary Schools- For the people's awareness initiatives, the collective program of State Primary Schools, Ring the Bell Campaign 2018-2019 for Promotion of Inclusive Education was organized by SPARC India with the support of Janvikas Samiti, Varanasi at Community Center, Mankameshwar Temple Ward, Daliganj, Lucknow city on 21st March’18 from 12:30 pm in which local dignitaries participated. The Guests of Honor on this occasion were Mr. Amit Kumar Rai (Consultant/Specialist Inclusive Education, Sarva Siksha Abhiyan), Mr. R.N Singh (Advisor, Inclusive Education, Sarva Siksha Abhiyan, UNICEF), Mr. Chiranjeev Ji (Janvikas Samiti, Varanasi), Mr. Avinash Ji (Care India), Mrs. Meenu Tiwari (District Coordinator, Inclusive Education, Lucknow), Mr. Vishnu Kant Tiwari (President medal winner, Social Worker), Mr. Ranjit Singh (Sabhasad, Daliganj, Lucknow), Mr. Shamsad Hussain (Principal, Primary School, Daliganj), Mr. Pallav Joshi, Ms. Zeena Ji, Ms. Kiran Ji (Principal, Tagore School) and Dr. Anoop Chaturvedi (Deputy Editor, The Pioneer, Hindi Dainik). Government Officials, Principals /Teachers, Aganwadi, Balwadi workers and all concerned Stakeholders participated in the event which included various programs viz Rally, Pledge/ oath, Quiz etc. Students participated with full enthusiasm and participated in the campaign by ringing the bell for Children with Disabilities.
